Who We Are

The Rural Schools Association is a statewide, member driven organization dedicated to representing the interests of small and rural school districts in New York State. The Rural Schools Association is anchored in the New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University within the Community and Regional Development Institute. Our offices and staff plan the annual conference, research and assess policy recommendations, and support, collaborate, and report on research across the University that is relevant to rural schools.

Our Mission

The Rural Schools Association (RSA) is a member driven organization representing the particular interests of the small and rural school districts of New York State. RSA also initiates research, and provides information and services as needed by its members.
